Short description

You are an interrogator with a stack of files and a quota. Five days, a handful of suspects each, and one job: get them to confess. Read their nature, find the pressure point, and decide how far you're willing to go. Not every confession means what it says.

In-game tutorial / How to Play

Goal: Fill each suspect's Resolve bar to 100 and they confess. Reach the day's quota of confessions before the clock (your action budget) runs out. Miss it and the day repeats.

The two bars:

  • Resolve is how close they are to confessing. Fill it.
  • Guard is their mood. Low means fear. High means comfort and trust. Around the middle is the sweet spot where Questions and Lies work best. If Guard hits 0, they shut down and are dismissed.

Actions (the number is the clock cost):

  • Talk (1): Get them speaking. A successful Talk can reveal a statement and their nature. Talking too often gets less reliable.
  • Review (1): Open the statements you've gathered, then:
    • Question: Press them on a statement. Statements backed by real evidence are guaranteed to land and give a big Resolve boost.
    • Lie: Bluff on a statement. It's riskier, but it works when you have nothing solid.
  • Threaten (2): Pushes Guard down toward fear.
  • Coerce (2): Pushes Guard up toward trust.

Tips:

  1. Start with Talk. You need statements, and you learn their nature.
  2. Real evidence beats everything. Question those statements first.
  3. A failed Question or Lie pushes Guard toward an extreme, so don't spam them.
  4. Confessions you coerced count differently from clean ones. Someone is keeping track.
  5. When a file has no evidence, you can still question them. It just might not work.
  6. The arrow on the right side opens the suspect's profile.
  7. Click to advance dialogue.
